Although the program does not have to be set up in a particular order, we suggest that you follow the sequence presented by the left-hand navigation menu.
- Begin by setting up your program administrators (unless you are the only administrator). Create your administrator types and then add the relevant people into them by name and email address.
- Set up your program theme (logos and colors). These can be set up at any point before launch, but when building out your content and previewing how this will look from a front-end user's perspective it's beneficial to have your theme in place.
- Define your program hub setup. We recommend that you set up your role types and relationship types before building out your curriculum. The reason being that for each activity you can choose the relationships responsible for approving and giving feedback. If you have not set up these hub types, you will not have any options to choose from.
- You can start to work on your curriculum build at any time before launch (enrolling participants). However, to get the most out of the building experience it is worth considering the steps outlined above.
- You may need to access the participant management section earlier in the process to carry out testing and preview your curriculum as it's built, but you should only enroll your participants once the curriculum build is complete. This is because when someone is enrolled as a 'learner' they are given the current copy of the curriculum. Any changes made after this point are not seen by the learner unless you refresh their timeline/reset their progress. So, finalise your curriculum build and do a program run-through before launching to ensure learners get the finished version.
- Reports for the program only need to be accessed post-launch once participants have been enrolled. However, it is worth getting familiar with what's available before launching if you have time.
